Telehealth is a safe and convenient way to seek medical advice from a doctor while eliminating your exposure to other patients, waiting rooms and pharmacies. Here is how it works:
Create a free account with ON MEN, and be ready with a picture of your OHIP card.
Fill a short medical assessment questionnaire to share your symptoms or reason for consult.
We will connect you with a Canadian licensed physician for an online audio/video medical consultation.

Stay at home and decrease exposure to others outside of your household. In the case you do need to go out, stay at least 6 feet away from others. This is especially important for people who are at a higher risk of getting sick.

Wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.

Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth.

Cover your coughs and sneezes.

Wear a facemask if you are sick. If you are not sick, you do not need to wear a facemask unless you are caring for someone who is sick.

Clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces daily. This includes tables, doorknobs, light switches, countertops, handles, desks, phones, keyboards, toilets, faucets, and sinks.Wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.
Yes, if you are an Ontario resident with a valid health card, your virtual visit with a physician is 100% free, covered by OHIP. Just register with us, provide your health card information, and we will connect you to a physician within 24 hrs.
Our online assessment and consultation program for COVID 19 is funded by the ON MEN management as a FREE public service program. We do not charge OHIP for this service.
At this time, this program is only open to the residents of Ontario. Please note that you will be asked to upload the picture of your health card during the online medical assessment. So, please be ready with the picture.
Telehealth visits can be used to treat most common medical issues, including but not limited to:
Your medical assessment will be reviewed by Canadian licensed physician or Nurse Practitioner. If your symptoms look like you may be at high-risk for corona virus, a member of our medical team will call you at the number you provide. At this time, you may be advised on the next steps based on the guidelines set by the Public Health of Ontario.
We will try our best to respond back to you within 24hrs. However, it may all depend on the volume of requests at that time. If your condition worsens before you hear back from us, please contact your primary care physician. In case of an emergency, please call 911.
Create an account with ON MEN and share your symptoms or reason for your telehealth visit. We will review your request and connect you to speak to a licensed healthcare provider for a free audio or video consultation.
If our Physician determines you may need a prescription, you have a choice to use our ON MEN affiliated pharmacy services that will deliver your meds to your door within 24hrs.
If you would like to use a pharmacy of your choice, please keep its name and fax number handy before you start your consultation.
ON MEN affiliated pharmacy partners can fill your requests for refills, transfers and new prescriptions within 24hrs, with delivery to your door. While the need for social distancing prevails, it is recommended that you minimize exposure to yourself to potentially contaminated surfaces at doctor’s offices and pharmacies.
We want to do everything we can to provide assistance to Ontarians so they can get the medical support they need, without leaving their home. ON MEN’s telehealth platform is uniquely suited to help in a number of ways:
Unburdening hospitals and clinics. Coronavirus fears may overcrowd and overburden our healthcare system, making it more challenging and costly for people who need in-person or emergency care to find it. We’re hopeful that ON MEN’s free telehealth service will reduce the strain on providers who are treating higher-risk and sicker patients, while providing free online primary care and pharmacy services to all Ontarians.
Advising symptomatic COVID-19 patients We expect that people suffering from the common cold or the flu will be concerned about COVID-19. Initially talking to a remote doctor via telehealth, can provide comfort and guidance on how to address their symptoms, get healthy, and reduce the spread to others. For those at risk of COVID-19, ON MEN affiliated doctors can advise them on appropriate next steps, whether that’s to self-quarantine or seek additional care. This is also important to protect our health care providers on the front line.
Yes, ON MEN’s telehealth is a safe and secure means of seeking medical advice and treatment, from the comfort of your home, especially under the current circumstances where it is not advisable to expose yourself or your family to other patients or surfaces in the waiting room and pharmacies.
ON MEN uses sophisticated encryption technology for data storage and transfer, so your information is safe with us. It is an approved means of delivering healthcare by the OTN.
Given the severity of the situation and the lack of sufficient resources, ON MEN requests all individuals and corporates to sponsor our COVID-19 screening program, so that the FREE service can be made available to as many impacted people as possible, across Canada. If you would like to become a sponsor, please write to us at covid19@onmen.ca or call us at 1(877)286-6636.
